July 19, 2010 | In: Guides
If you are planning on unlocking Wii then you should know the important dos and don’s that give you a few basic pointers on how to do it the right way.
Do it if you own the device
Do so, If you are the lawful owner of the Wii console that you are about to unlock.
Use trusted software
You can read the reviews on different unlocking software that are available today and only use software to unlock your device, using a mod-chip with simply void the warranty on your Wii.
Zelda:Twilight Princess may not work
Beware of the sites that offer Zelda:Twilight Princess as a solution to unlock your Wii device as this technique is outdated and badly failing on customers making them loose hundereds of dollars and their precious time.
Don’t use mod-chips
As stated earlier, using mod-chips would mean you are attempting to alter the hardware and you may end up loosing warranty on your Wii. On a side note, mod-chips are expensive and involve physical postal delivery and you may have to wait for a few days, or even weeks before it arrives. Using unlocking software is safer, more convenient and the quickest way to get your Wii unlocked.
Only use the latest software
The latest version for Nintendo Wii is 4.2, and the unlocking software that we recommend on our site are effective for all models of the Wii console, including; 4.0 or 4.1. You should be careful of the websites that claim to provide unlocking software for all versions and my not work for the latest version of Wii.
